A savvy leader and communicator, Tomeeka Farrington
brings fresh ideas and talent to Spotlight
Communications. The Boston-based founder listens
intently to clients’ needs to provide them a
realistic and targeted plan at the outset. Tomeeka
also delivers personalized
attention to clients throughout the process.
Tomeeka is truly an expert in the field of public
relations and communications strategies.
Recently, The Boston Herald cited Tomeeka as

Relations Princess," and in 2004,The Boston Event Guide selected her as “One of the
30 Extraordinary Bostonians.”
Tomeeka brings a wealth of experience and knowledge
to her role as Principal, trained as a broadcast
journalist and public relations executive, she
understands what it takes to get her clients noticed
and into the media spotlight.
In the past she served as a Communications Director
for a Massachusetts-based technology firm, and a
public relations account executive for a
multicultural marketing and public relations firm.
Tomeeka has led PR campaigns and coordinated events
for corporate leaders such as Commodore Builders,
Design Continuum, Fitzhugh, Parker & Alvaro, The
Massachusetts Health Data Consortium, and The
Massachusetts Technology Collaborative. She has
also worked closely with celebrities such as: tennis
champ Venus Williams; KC Jones and Satch Sanders, of
the Boston Celtics; and NBC Sports announcer Bud
Collins.
A graduate of Boston College and American
University, Tomeeka holds a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Communications and a Master of Arts in Broadcast
Journalism and Public Affairs.
Tomeeka is the Public Relations Board of Directors
Chair for the Association of Latino Professionals in
Finance and Accounting (ALPFA). She was named a
2006 Emerging Leader by the Center for Collaborative
Leadership at the University of Massachusetts,
Boston. She is also a Board Member for the National
Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer, based at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). |
